Today’s Load Shedding Schedule 2022: Load Shedding has started from July 19 and this Load Shedding is being done area-wise in every district and upazila of Bengal. The main reason for load shedding is the increasing price of fuel oil in the world market and currently the price of fuel oil is skyrocketing. To overcome the crisis of fuel oil, the government started area wise load shedding. The government has ordered load shedding to be done in 64 districts of the country. Besides, the Minister of Energy has given several other instructions for saving electricity.

- There will be area wise load shedding
- Diesel based power plants will be closed to reduce losses
- Reduction of office hours will be considered
- Petrol pump will be closed for one day in a week
- Shops will be closed after 8 pm
- It has been decided to hold all government-private meetings virtually
- AC has been asked to be turned off in the mosque except during namaz

Area-wise load shedding is one of the steps taken recently in Bangladesh to save electricity. In every region of Bangladesh electricity is cut off at a specific time and restarted after 1 to 2 hours. Energy Minister Nasrul Hamid has prepared a schedule for load shedding and directed load shedding accordingly. And according to that the power supply companies of Bangladesh such as Palli Vidyut, DESCO, Nesco, DPDC, BPDB, WZPDCL have published their load shedding schedule. Load shedding will be done for 1 to 2 hours every day according to this schedule in all areas of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the people of the country to be frugal in order to save electricity. Since the price of fuel has received a lot of support in the world market, all the power plants in Bangladesh that used to generate electricity through Jalani have been temporarily stopped. And because of this, about 1800-2000 megawatts of electricity is being produced less every day. And for the shortage of 1800 to 2000 MW of electricity, load shedding is being done on an area-wise schedule across the country. Simultaneous load shedding across the country will have a major impact on all areas including the country’s economy. For this reason, load shedding is being done according to the schedule by area based schedule instead of simultaneous load shedding across the country.

- Click on the district in which you reside.
- Finally you will see about when power disconnection will occur in your district.
